What is VEX ROBOTICS?

VEX Robotics is an international competition with over 11,500 teams participating in it. VEX Robotics offers two programs, VEX IQ designed for younger students in elementary and middle school as well as VEX EDR designed for older students in middle and high school. Blaze Robotics offers programs for both levels of VEX. For both competitions, students work together in small teams to design, build, code and drive their robots to try to accomplish the current seasons game to the best of their robots ability.

VEX IQ: Rise ABOVe

This years game for VEX IQ is Rise Above (shown in the video). In VEX IQ, teams will design and build their robots using the simple VEX IQ part ecosystem (provided by Blaze Robotics). At competitions, teams work with their alliance partner to try and get the highest score possible.

 
 

VEX EDR: Change UP

This years VEX EDR game is Change Up (shown in the video). VEX EDR is the next step up from VEX IQ, both in complexity and competition. Teams use the VEX EDR part ecosystem (provided by Blaze Robotics) to design, build and code their robots. VEX EDR competitions feature matches, where two teams are pitted against two other teams for a two minute long match consisting of 15 seconds of autonomous and 1:45 of driver controlled excitement.
