Competitive Robotics Fundamentals with VEX IQ (2-Week)

This intensive two-week (10 days) full day course is designed for students (in grades 3-5 in Fall 2025) aspiring to join the Robotics Competition Team for the 2025-2026 Season in Fall 2025. The program focuses on building a strong foundation in the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in robotics competitions. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and programming competitive robots while developing critical documentation skills through engineering notebooks.

Target Students:

This course is ideal for students who are motivated to join the Robotics Competition Team in Fall 2025 and are looking to strengthen their technical and collaborative skills to prepare for the 2025-2026 competition season. It is a qualifying program (with coach recommendation) for joining our teams.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the two-week program, participants will have hands-on experience constructing and programming basic VEX IQ robots, enabling them to identify and assemble different drivetrains suited for various challenges. They will also gain foundational coding skills to control their robots precisely and develop teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities—all critical for success in VIQRC competitions.
