3D Design and Printing Beginner: Junior Maker

Campers bring their imaginative ideas to life in our 3D Design and Printing Beginner: Junior Maker camp! Through Tinkercad, our students think in three dimensions, helping them develop a strong sense of spatial awareness. This project based learning camp offers an engaging and fun means to explore artistic expression while developing digital literacy, problem solving skills as well as STEM skills. Campers will explore 3D modeling concepts while working on fun projects utilizing their creativity and newly gained modeling skills, and to print their ideas on our in-house 3D printers.

Target Students:

Recommended for students with little or no experience in 3D design or printing. Ideal for curious learners who enjoy hands-on, creative activities and want to delve into the basics of 3D modeling and FDM 3D printing.

Learning Outcome:

Students will explore the basics of modeling iconic structures, gaining familiarity with 3D printing technology and digital tools. Campers will develop spatial reasoning skills by visualizing and manipulating objects in three dimensions, practice problem-solving by refining their designs, and express their creativity through custom projects. They will also collaborate with peers, sharing ideas and learning in a supportive, team-based atmosphere.
