Competitive Robotics Fundamentals with VEX V5 (5-Week)

This intensive five-week (10 sessions) evening course is designed for students (in grades 8-10 in Fall 2025) aspiring to join the VEX V5 Robotics Competition Team for the 2025-2026 Season. The program provides in-depth preparation in the essential skills and knowledge required to excel with VEX V5 robotics systems. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and programming advanced robots while developing critical documentation skills through engineering notebooks.

Target Students:

This course is ideal for students who are motivated to join the VEX V5 Robotics Competition Team and are looking to strengthen their technical and collaborative skills to prepare for the 2025-2026 competition season. It is a qualifying program (with coach recommendation) for joining our teams.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the program, participants will have hands-on experience constructing and programming basic VEX V5 robots, enabling them to identify and assemble different drivetrains suited for various challenges. They will also gain foundational coding skills to control their robots precisely and develop teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities—all critical for success in V5RC competitions.
