Course Description:
This 10-week course introduces students in grades 4 and up to the basics of Python programming, using the VEX IQ robot system as a hands-on tool to enhance learning.
Through interactive and engaging lessons, students will learn essential coding concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, and functions, while exploring fun applications like drawing with Python libraries and program autonomous routines for VEX IQ robots with VEX libraries.
The course emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on projects, culminating in a final project where students create and present their own program. No prior programming experience is required, just basic typing skills and the enthusiasm to learn!
Target Students:
Students who either have no prior programming experience but are good at logical thinking and are old enough to comprehend abstract programming concepts, or have solid programming experience in block based programming languages (Scratch, VEXcode IQ etc.) and want to build their programming skills in a more powerful and professional language.
Objective:
After this class, students will understand the basics of Python and its applications in robotics. They will be able to implement core programming concepts in Python via hands-on projects that promote critical thinking, problem solving and collaborating skills.

It can be taken for joining an IQ competition team as a replacement course for RoboChamps: Mastery Robotics Programming.
Refund Policy
Our refund policy allows for a full refund up to two weeks before the course start date. Cancellations made less than two weeks in advance are eligible for either a 50% refund or 100% Academy credit. Please note, no refunds will be provided once the course has begun.
